Notable Changes from the Previous Year
Mitsubishi offers two years of limited maintenance for all its 2024 vehicles, and the Mirage isn’t an exception. Additionally, you can count on a 10-year/160,000km powertrain warranty, a five-year/96,000km limited warranty, and five years of roadside assistance. Also, the new lineup replaced its manual transmission with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), and the Noir blackout packages are now available to all trims.
Performance Specs
The whole lineup runs on the same engine: a 1.2L 3-cylinder with CVT that delivers a fuel efficiency of 6.6L/100km in the city and 5.6L/100km on highways. It’s perfect for driving through narrow streets and corners, thanks to a 4.6m turning radius. It’s also very easy to go up steep streets or ramps with its standard hill-start-assist technology.
Design Elements
The entry-level model has a halogen headlight, while the rest of the lineup uses LED headlights. However, there are LED rear combination lamps for all models. Body-colour side mirrors and door handles are standard across the lineup. The Noir stands out for its black wheels and red accents on the grille, while the flagship GT has high LED beams, headlights, and side mirrors with integrated turn signals.
All models have heated front seats that can slide and recline. The steering wheel is wrapped in urethane for the entry-level model and is leather-wrapped for the other trims. The Noir’s interior design has exclusive red stitch accents. Integrated driver’s seat armrests are standard for the Noir and GT models, as well as chrome door interiors (front and rear).
Technology and Safety Features
All models are equipped with a 7-inch smartphone link display, compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as a bluetooth interface. Other standard features include a rearview camera, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, four speakers, automatic climate control, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. The Noir and GT trims also have cruise control, a high-contrast speedometer, and a high-contrast tachometer.
Safety features are pretty similar for all models in the new Mirage, including multiple airbags, active stability control, Traction Control Logic, and an anti-theft engine immobilizer. The GT offers forward collision mitigation and lane departure warning.
